How to Reach Fairy Meadows
Your journey begins on the Karakoram Highway until reaching Raikot Bridge, approximately 80 km from Chilas.
From Raikot Bridge:
Hire a local 4×4 jeep to Tattu Village (about 12 km, 1.5–2 hours).
Trek from Tattu Village to Fairy Meadows (approximately 5 km, 2–3 hours).
Horses are available for visitors who prefer not to hike.
The adventure itself is part of the experience, with dramatic mountain landscapes and scenic viewpoints along the route.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal months are:
🌸 May – June: Wildflowers and lush green meadows
☀️ July – August: Pleasant weather and perfect camping conditions
🍂 September – October: Clear skies and vibrant autumn colors
Winter brings heavy snowfall, and access is generally closed.
